The collection was begun in 1985 and encompasses material from a wide range of sources documenting a variety of interconnected movements including counter culture, rural resettlement, communal living, permaculture, natural healing, conservation of the environment, new age, nuclear disarmament, peace, alternative religions, personal development, arts and crafts.
