While Franza Feilbogen never came to Australia, two of her brothers, Heinrich (grandfather of Ruth Bernard) and Max both came to Australia in the 1880s. Heinrich stayed for 10 years before returning to Vienna to marry.

In the 1930s one of Heinrich's sons, Erich, came to Australia and was pivtoal in assisting his family to emigrate during the years 1938-1939 as refugees from Nazism.
