    29 May 1827 - 24 June 1831, 2 - 12 Apr. 1836; Contains correspondence relating to judicial proceedings and Trials for Libel. The majority of the letters are from Ralph Darling to Francis Forbes. Material includes: Extract from a dispatch from Sir George Murray to Lt. General Darling dated 1828, explaining that Murray found letters from Darling, Forbes, and Justice Stephen relating to various controversies particularly the prohibiting of the publication of newspapers without license of the Governor and Murray gives his opinion on the matter; criminal information about the Colonial Secretary, and actions against the magistrate of Parramatta; list of correspondence and dates; letters relating to the trial of W.C. Wentworth versus R. Mansfield; and Justice Burton's address to the Jury, 1836.
